Health and science content changes quickly, and mistakes can happen. When we find meaningful errors, we aim to correct them.
What we correct
We may correct or update:
- Factual errors
- Broken or incorrect source links
- Misstated study details
- Outdated regulatory or safety information
- Missing conflict-of-interest context
- Unclear wording that could mislead readers
- Product availability or pricing errors where practical
- Incorrect dates, names, figures, or study descriptions
- Claims that need stronger caveats or better context
What may not require a correction note
Minor edits may be made without a formal note, including:
- Grammar fixes
- Formatting changes
- Typo fixes
- Internal link updates
- Style improvements
- Image or layout changes
- Metadata updates
- Changes that do not materially alter the meaning of the article
Material updates
For meaningful changes, we may add an update note, change the “Last updated” date, revise scoring, or explain what changed.
Material updates may include:
- A new study that changes the interpretation of a claim
- A regulatory change that affects the article
- A safety update
- A correction to a central fact
- A revised evidence rating or score
- A clarification that changes how a reader should understand the piece
How to request a correction
Send correction requests through our Contact page with:
- Article URL
- The specific claim or section at issue
- Why you believe it is incorrect or incomplete
- Supporting source links or documentation
- Your name and affiliation, if relevant
Review process
We review correction requests in good faith.
We may accept, reject, or partially accept a correction.
We may not respond to every request, especially spam, abusive messages, vague claims, or requests made to suppress fair criticism.
